To get years of use from your tire chains follow these simple tips:
1) A properly installed chain should fit snug on the tire with the cross-chains centered on the tread. Inside and outside fasteners
should be evenly tightened. Both side-chains should be centered on the circumference of the tire.
2) After proper installation you will have a few links left free on the ends of the side-chains. These should be tied back or cut off.
3) After using the tire chains for a short period of time, re-tighten side-chain fasteners, (outside and inside) to take up slack. Loose
chains wear out faster.
4) Avoid spinning tires. They cause rapid wear of the cross-chains.
5) Avoid running tire chains on bare surfaces unless necessary (bare surfaces contribute to accelerated wear).
6) Maximum Speed: 20 km/h.
7) Rinse your chains in warm water after use and allow to dry before storing.
8) Do not use chains if chain links show more than 50% wear.
9) Follow the manufacture’s instruction & cautions listed in this manual. (We are not liable for
damages resulting from improper installation or use).
(Note: snow chains are not permitted on public roads).
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
2 Drape the chain over the
tire with the speed hook (inside
fastener) ending up on the inside
tire sidewall. The open cross chain
hooks are facing upwards / away
from the tire. Tuck loose chain
under the tire and move the
vehicle ¼ of a tire revolution.
4 Pull chain snug and connect the outside fastener to
approximately same position as was done with the inside
side-chain. Slip end through side chain link then insert hook
end into side chain.
The chains should be tight when installed correctly and they
should be centered on the tire. Install the rubber tensioners (if
included in the package). Repeat procedure on opposite tire.
(Note: Right and left chain are the same).
3 Fasten the Speed Hook
to an end link (opposite end
of the side-chain) as tight as
possible while still being
able to fasten outside hook
at the same position.
