Always be sure that the tool is switched off and the battery pack is removed
before carrying out any work on the tool. Failure to switch off and remove the
battery pack may result in serious personal injury from accidental start-up.
Never start the tool unless it is completely assembled. Operation of the tool in a
partially assembled state may result in serious personal injury from accidental
start-up.
Do not attempt to straighten or weld a bent or cracked blade. Such a blade may
break, and it must be replaced. It is recommended to replace only with a GREEN
MACHINE edger blade.
Always wear gloves when handling the edger blade.

7.2 REPLACING THE BLADE 7.3 REPLACING THE WHEEL
Remove the blade:

Stop the motor and remove the battery pack. Wait until the blade stopped.
Put the edger on a flat surface, with the blade facing you.
Rotate the blade to align the slot in the blade guard with the hole in the down-press-
ing plate.
Insert the hex wrench provided into the hole to act as a stabilizer and loosen the nut
with the socket wrench provided. (Fig.5A)
Remove the nut, protective cover, upper pressing plate, and blade, and push down the
pressing plate from the motor shaft (Fig. 5B). Check and replace them if they are worn.

Stop the motor and remove the battery pack. Wait until the blade stopped.
Put the edger on a flat surface so that the guide wheel is facing upwards. Make sure
the blade isn’t touching any rigid surface.
Loosen the wheel adjusting knob and remove it.
Remove the cap nut, wheel adjusting knob, washer 1, wheel, bushing, and washer 2
from the bolt. Check and replace them if they are worn. (Fig.6)
Insert the bolt through the wheel adjusting guide bar slot first, and then mount the
washer 2, bushing, and new wheel, then mount the washer 1, wheel adjusting knob,
and cap nut onto the bolt as shown in Fig. 6)
Tighten the wheel adjusting knob to secure the wheel.
Installing the blade:

Position the down-pressing plate onto the motor shaft. Install the new blade, upper
pressing plate, protective cover, and nut onto the motor shaft as (Fig.5B) shows.
Rotate the blade to align the slot in the blade guard with the hole in the down-pressing plate.
Insert the hex wrench provided into the aligned holes to act as a stabilizer. Use the socket
wrench provided to tighten the nut COUNTERCLOCKWISE securely onto the shaft (Fig.5A).
