Always be sure that the tool is switched off and the battery pack is removed
before carrying out any work on the tool.

7.6 TRANSMISSION GEARS LUBRICATION
NOTE: The center of the blade guard may touch the soil in the process of operation. It is
protected by an anti-wear protective plate. Check the anti-wear protective plate for
damage before operation.
The transmission gears in the gear case need to be lubricated periodically with gear
grease. Check the gear case grease level about every 50 hours of operation by remov-
ing the sealing screw on the side of the case.
NOTE: If no grease can be seen on the sides of the gear, follow the steps below to fill
with gear grease up to 3/4 capacity. Do not completely fill the transmission gear case.

Stop the motor and remove the battery pack. Wait until the blade has stopped.
Wear protective gloves. Remove the blade first as described in Section 7.2 to expose
the two screws for loosening.
Use the hex wrench provided to loosen the two screws and remove them from the unit.
Replace the worn anti-wear protective plate with a new one.
Assemble the new anti-wear protective plate onto the center of the blade guard and
lock them with the two screws. (Fig.8)
Tighten the two screws with the provided hex wrench.

Position the edger upright so that the sealing screw is facing upwards (Fig. 9).
Use the hex wrench provided to loosen and remove the sealing screw.
Use a grease syringe (not included) to inject some grease into the screw hole; do not
exceed 3/4 capacity.
Tighten the sealing screw after injection.

Stop the motor and remove the battery pack. Wait until the blade stops moving.
Loosen the two screws with the hex wrench provided.
Remove the screws, fixing plate, and worn debris flap (Fig.7).
Install a new debris flap and lock it with the fixing plate and the two screws.
Tighten the two screws with the hex wrench provided securely.
