Installing Line on the Grass Gator 8010

Thank you for using a Grass Gator!

At any point in the process that you feel you need assistance, please call

our technical support desk at 800-210-9949 .

You do not have to remove the Grass Gator 8010 from your trimmer to

remove or replace the line. The line is held into place with steel cams that

secure the line in the head.

To remove the line, hold the trimmer so that the bottom of the Grass

Gator head is exposed. This is the side closest to the ground. Grab the

exposed line on the inside of the head and pull it through towards the

center. Remove all 4 pieces of line.

Install new line (.095 to .130 in diameter and 6 inches long) by pushing it

into the head from the outside. Once the line is in place, pull it back

toward you to insure that it is locked into place. Also, make sure that

there is enough line coming through to the inside of the head (1/4 to 1/2

inch), so that you will be able to remove it when it needs replacing.
