Step 6: Connect the inline fuses to the positive cable outputs of each panel. Then connect the positive and nega-
tive outputs of both panels to the appropriate T-branch connector.
If your battery has sufficient charge (11.5 volts or more), you
should now see the LCD display on the controller activate. This
means the controller has power (controllers are powered by the
battery, not the panels).

Step 7: Cut the 15-foot cable in half using wire cutters, and strip the bare ends back around 1/4”. Connect the
MC4 outputs of the T-branch connectors to the two halves of the 15-foot cable (the ends with the connect-
ors).
