Even though we have high qual-
ity drinking water, ltration can
still be optimised because, de-
pending on the origin of the
water, it contains individual
components such as lime, chlo-
rine or metals such as lead and
copper which could come from
the building plumbing. A BRITA
water lter reduces these sub-
stances. That in turn helps de-
velop the natural aromas and
full taste of your hot beverage.
On top of that, it protects your
unit from calcication. That ex-
tends the service life and keeps
the brewing performance con-
stant, plus the energy consump-
tion remains at the same, low
level.

Milk frothing
note
For milk frothing, always use
the milk frother - hot water
nozzle together with the at-
tached Pannarello.
Press the "STEAM" button.
The steam function for making
milk froth is now active.
After the lamp has stopped
ashing, the nozzle is ready for
use.
Make sure there is always
enough water in the tank.
Fill the enclosed container to
1/3 with cold milk.
note
To achieve optimal results,
use only max. 4°C cold milk.
Before using the milk frother
nozzle, the condensate that
has collected there should be
drained off. To do that, aim it
at the drain grate and briey
turn on the steam.
Wait until only steam and no
water escapes and close the
control again.

Never aim the milk frother
nozzle towards yourself or any
other person. DANGER OF
BURNS!
Always use the handle to move
the milk frother nozzle. Never
touch the milk frother noz-
zle on the pipe after using. It
becomes very hot!
Now immerse the milk frother
nozzle with the Pannarello into
the milk to approx. 1 cm under
the surface.
Open the steam control to the
limit.
