Heater Cartridges
See Parts illustration that applies to your heater on
page 22 or 24.
1. Follow Pressure Relief Procedure, page 11.
2. Disconnect power.
3. Drain the Heater, page 13.
4. Perform Heater Core Removal and Fluid Passage
Unclogging procedure on page 19. This includes
removing the inlet housing (65).
5. With the inlet housing removed, remove 5
screws (52) and cover (18).
6. Disconnect wires from heater cartridges (81).
7. Remove pipe plug (95) and springs (31) from bot-
tom of core (68).
8. Use a 3/8 in. (10 mm) rod to push each cartridge out
of the top of the core.
9. Wire new cartridges per FIG.8orFIG. 9, page 15.
