Whenoperatingtheelectrostaticgun,any
ungroundedobjectsinthesprayarea(people,
containers,tools,etc.)canbecomeelectrically
charged.Impropergroundingcanresultinstatic
sparking,whichcancauseare,explosion,or
electricshock.Groundallequipment,personnel,
objectbeingsprayed,andconductiveobjects
inorclosetothesprayarea.Resistancemust
notexceed1megohm.Followthegrounding
instructionsbelow.
Thefollowingareminimumgroundingrequirements
forabasicelectrostaticwaterbornesystem.Your
systemmayincludeotherequipmentorobjectswhich
mustbegrounded.Checkyourlocalelectricalcode
fordetailedgroundinginstructions.Yoursystemmust
beconnectedtoatrueearthground.
