• Object being sprayed: keeptheworkpiecehangers
cleanandgroundedatalltimes.
• All electrically conductive objects or devices in the
spray area: mustbeproperlygrounded.
• Fluid and waste containers: groundalluidand
wastecontainersinthesprayarea.Donotusepail
linersunlesstheyareconductiveandgrounded.
Whenushingthespraygun,thecontainerused
tocatchtheexcessuidmustbeelectrically
conductiveandgrounded.

Air compressors: groundtheequipmentaccording
tothemanufacturer'srecommendations.
•
All air lines mustbeproperlygrounded.Useonly
groundedhoseswithamaximumof100feet(30.5
m)combinedhoselengthtoensuregrounding
continuity.
•
The oor of the spray area: mustbeelectrically
conductiveandgrounded.Donotcovertheoor
withcardboardoranynon-conductivematerial
whichwouldinterruptgroundingcontinuity.
• All solvent pails: useonlyapproved,grounded
metalcontainers,whichareconductive.Donot
useplasticcontainers.Useonlynon-ammable
solvents.Donotstoremorethanthequantity
neededforoneshift.
• All persons entering the spray area: mustwear
shoeshavingconductivesolessuchasleather,
orwearpersonalgroundingstraps.Donot
wearshoeswithnon-conductivesolessuchas
rubberorplastic.Ifglovesarenecessary,wear
theconductiveglovessuppliedwiththegun.If
non-Gracoglovesareworn,cutoffngersorpalm
areaofglovestoensureyourhandcontactsthe
groundedgunhandle.
