Flush the System
Follow this procedure before:
the first time m
aterial is loaded into the equipment
servicing
shutting dow
n equipment for an extended period
of time
putting equi
pment into storage
Single Colo
rSystem
1. Relieve th
epressure. See
Pressure R
elief Procedure, page 29.
2. Disconnec
t the color and catalyst supply lines
from the pu
mp inlet manifolds, and connect
regulate
d solvent supply lines.
3. Set the so
lvent supply pressure regulator at the
lowest pr
essure possible, to avoid splashing or
an inject
ion injury. Generally a setting of 25–50
psi (0.1
8–0.35 MPa, 1.8–3.5 bar) is sufficient.
4. Set the m
ix manifold to the SPRAY position.
5. On the AD
M, go to the Fill screen. Set the
Material to Color (A). Press
. The system
will pump solvent through pump A all the way to
the gun.
6. Hold a metal part of the gun firmly to a grounded
metal pail. Trigger the gun until clean solvent
dispenses.
7. On the ADM, go to the Fill screen. Set the
Material to Catalyst (B). Press
.The
system will pump solvent through pump B all the
way to the gun.
8. Relieve the pressure. See
Pressure Relief Procedure, page 29
Color Change System
1. Relieve the pressure. See
Pressure Relief Procedure, page 29.
2. Attach regulated solvent supply lines as follows:
Multiple col
or/single catalyst system: On the
color side, d
o not disconnect the color supply
line from the
inlet manifold of Pump A. Instead,
connect a re
gulated solvent supply line to the
designated
solvent valve on the color valve
manifold. O
n the catalyst side, disconnect
the catalys
t supply line from the inlet manifold
of Pump B, a
nd connect a regulated solvent
supply lin
e.
Multiple c
olor/multiple catalyst system:
Connect re
gulated solvent supply lines to
the desig
nated solvent valves on the color
and catal
yst valve manifolds. Do not connect
solvent s
upply lines directly to the inlet
manifold
s of the pumps.
3. Set the s
olvent supply pressure regulator at the
lowest p
ressure possible, to avoid splashing or
an injec
tion injury. Generally a setting of 25–50
psi (0.1
8–0.35 MPa, 1.8–3.5 bar) is sufficient.
4. Set the m
ix manifold to the SPRAY position.
5. On the A
DM, go to the Fill screen. Select Color
(A). En
ter the color number in the box to the right.
6. Select
the Flush Line box.
7. If the
solvent is not already loaded, press the
Prime softkey
. The system will prime
solvent into the selected pump and out the outlet
dump valve.
8. Press the Fill softkey
. The system will flush
the selected Color (A) line with solvent until the
user presses Stop
.
9. Hold a metal part of the gun firmly to a grounded
metal pail. Trigger the gun until clean solvent
dispenses.
10. Repeat for each color line.
11. Relieve the pressure. See
Pressure Relief Procedure, page 29.
