Engine
Removal
1 Relieve pressure; page 7.
2 Remove throttle cable from engine.
3Do Fan Belt, Removal; page 18.
4 Loosen hand nut (241). Swing bracket (30) out.
5 Fig. 6. Disconnect blue, brown and orange leads
from engine (185).
6 Remove engine and rocker plate (87c) from
sprayer.
7 Remove four screws (189), washers (114), washers
(170) and nuts (118) and remove rocker plate,
dampers (59) and washers (114) from engine.
Installation
1 Install rocker plate (87c), dampers (59) and washers
(170), washers (114) on engine (185) with four
screws (189), washers (170) and nuts (118); torque
to 20 ft-lb (27.1 N·m).
2 Install engine and rocker plate (87c) on sprayer.
3 Connect blue, brown and orange leads.
4Do Fan Belt, Installation; page 18.
5 Swing motor retainer bracket (30) in. Tighten hand
nut (241).
NOTICE
All service to the engine must be performed by an
authorized HONDA dealer.
