CAN I USE THIS MATERIAL WITH MY SPRAYER?
See the charts on the following pages for the list of materials that can and cannot be used with your sprayer.
WATER-BASED MATERIAL: All sprayers CAN be used with water-based interior and exterior materials. For exceptions, please
refer to Materials that CANNOT be Sprayed on page 3. Prior to spraying water-based materials, flush your sprayer with water.
OIL-BASED MATERIAL: All sprayers CAN be used with oil-based interior and exterior materials. The material label indicates
COMBUSTIBLE and that it can be cleaned with mineral spirits or paint thinner. For exceptions, please refer to Materials that
CANNOT by Sprayed on page 3. Prior to spraying with oil-based materials, flush your sprayer with mineral spirits.
SOLVENT-BASED FLAMMABLE MATERIAL: Most sprayers CANNOT be used with material that is FLAMMABLE. Please refer
to the material label to determine if the material is flammable. For exceptions, please refer to the Solvent-Based Flammable
Materials section on page 2. Prior to spraying with solvent-based flammable materials, flush your sprayer with mineral spirits.
Material Compatibility for Graco Magnum, TrueCoat and TC Pro Sprayers
These charts include the commonly used materials and do not include all materials on the market. Review the Safety Data Sheet (SDS)
for the material ingredients. The SDS often will be located under the retailer’s Product Overview/Specifications or on the material
manufacturer’s website.
Some materials, such as exterior latex and primers, are thicker than others and may require a larger sprayer with more power and tip
support. Refer to the material container label for recommended tip size.
There is a Lacquer Conversion kit available for purchase for the ProX17, ProLTS 170, ProX19, and ProLTS 190 sprayers to allow
spraying of Solvent-Based Flammable material.
