Cleaning and Storage
CAUTION!
❐ Remove the plug from the mains socket before doing any cleaning.
❐ Do not immerse the device in water or other liquids to clean it.
❐ Do not put the device in the dishwasher to clean it.
❐ Always allow the device to cool down before cleaning it.
❐ Do not use any corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the device. These can
damage the surface.
• Make sure the device is switched off!
• Clean the device and grill plates with a soft kitchen towel and a little mild detergent.
Then dry the device well.
• Clean the fat collecting tray using hot water and mild detergent. Then thoroughly dry
the tray.
• Store the device and the fat collecting tray in a dry, protected place.
Troubleshooting
If the device is not working properly, please check fi rst of all whether you are able to rectify
a problem yourself. Otherwise you should contact the customer service department.
Do not attempt to repair a defective device yourself!
Problem Possible cause / solution
The device does not work
/ the operating lamp does
not light up.
• Is the mains plug correctly inserted in the plug socket?
• Is the plug socket defective? Try another plug socket.
• Check the fuse of your mains connection.
The heating control lamp
goes out and lights up
again at regular intervals.
During the grilling process, the control lamp may light
up and then go out again. When the control lamp
lights up, this means that the device is heating again
in order to maintain a constant temperature. This is
not a malfunction!
