Safety mechanisms
The device features several safety mechanisms. The
device cannot be turned if
– the lid for the blending container or grinding adapter
has not been properly mounted. Make sure that the lid
locks into place properly.
– the blending container or grinding adapter has not
been properly placed on the motor unit.
To facilitate proper mounting of the blending container or
grinding container on the motor unit you can fi nd marks on
the blending container and on the grinding adapter which
are shown in the adjacent fi gures for illustration purposes.
A) Blending container: The blending container includes
an arrow mark which must point to the 0 mark of the ro-
tary switch on the motor unit after mounting the blending
container.
B) Grinding adapter: You can fi nd several marking lines
around the grinding adapter. There is circle mark above
the longest marking line. After mounting the grinding
adapter, this marking line must point to the 0 mark of the
rotary switch on the motor unit.
Use
ATTENTION!
❐ The blades are sharp! Handle the blade with care in order to prevent cut injuries.
❐ Never reach in the blending container when the device is plugged in to the electricity
supply or when it has been switched on.
❐ Risk of injury due to rotating device parts! Keep clothing, jewellery, hair, hands and
other body parts away from the device so there is no risk of catching yourself or any-
thing else in the rotating parts of the device.
❐ Always set the rotary switch to the 0 position and always pull the mains plug out of the
socket before removing and/or mounting the blending container.
❐ Do not leave the device unattended when it has been activated.
❐ During operation, make sure the device has a stable position.
❐ The device may not be moved or transported when activated.
