Empanadas
Ingredients:
1 roll uff pastry
500 g ground beef
1 TSP oregano
1 TSP caraway
2 cloves chopped garlic
1 nely diced onion
6 green olives
approx. 125 ml beef broth
approx. 200 ml tomato sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation:
1. Insert the sandwich plates in the device as described in the chapter “Inserting and changing
the plates” and let the device preheat as described in the chapter “Use”, section “Sandwich
plates”.
2. Mix the ground beef, oregano, caraway, salt and pepper in a large bowl.
3. Brie y sauté the onions and garlic and add the ground beef mixture with the beef broth and
tomato sauce. Mix all ingredients well and let everything simmer on low heat for 20 minutes.
4. Add the olives and let all ingredients continue to cook until all the liquid has evaporated.
5. Cut the uff pastry into four large squares and roll them out. Place two uff pastry squares
on the bottom sandwich plate of the device. Fill each pastry pocket using a small spoon and
place the other two uff pastry squares so that they cover the empanadas.
6. Close the device and lock it with the latch. Bake your empanadas for about 5 minutes.
7. Use wooden or plastic kitchen utensils to remove the empanadas to prevent damage to the
non-stick coating.
