_______________________________________________________________ 2 EINLEITUNG Die METRAFLEX sind AC-Stromsensoren, die auf dem Rogowski-Prinzip basieren. Sie können zur Wechselstrommessung bis zu 3000 A eingesetzt werden, indem Sie an ein geeignetes Messgerät (Multimeter, Datenlogger, Netzanalysator usw.) angeschlossen werden. Der flexible Messkopf ermöglicht eine Strommessung auch an schwer zugänglichen Stellen.

_______________________________________________________________ 4 INBETRIEBNAHME 4.1 BATTERIEN EINLEGEN UND BATTERIESTATUS Niemals die Batterien austauschen, während sich der flexible Messkopf am stromführenden Leiter befindet oder der Ausgang mit einem Messgerät verbunden ist. Niemals das Gerät ohne Batteriefachdeckel verwenden. Die METRAFLEX benötigen zum Betrieb zwei AA MN1500 LR6 Alkali-Batterien. Das Batteriefach ist über die Rückseite des Elektronikgehäuses zugänglich.
______________________________________________________________ 4.2 EXTERNE STROMVERSORGUNG Alternativ können die METRAFLEX auch durch eine externe stabilisierte Gleichspannungsquelle versorgt werden (ausgenommen METRAFLEX 3000). Der Anschluss erfolgt an der Hohlsteckerbuchse seitlich am Elektronikgehäuse. Versorgungsspannungsbereich siehe unter Technische Daten.
_______________________________________________________________ 4.3 ANSCHLIESSEN AN DAS MESSGERÄT Lesen Sie die Sicherheitshinweise in dieser Anleitung, bevor Sie dieses Produkt verwenden. METRAFLEX 3000: Stecken Sie das Ausgangskabel der Elektronik an den Spannungsmesseingang des Multimeters (schwarz an GND, rot an V) und schalten Sie dieses auf V AC. METRAFLEX 3001/3003: Stecken Sie jeweils ein Ausgangskabel der Elektronik an einen Strommesseingang I am MAVOWATT|50.
______________________________________________________________ 4.4 ANSCHLIESSEN AN DEN ZU MESSENDEN STROMKREIS Es wird dringend empfohlen, zum Anschließen des Messkopfes den Messstromkreis spannungsfrei zu schalten. Falls dies nicht möglich ist, darf der Anschluss nur von entsprechend qualifiziertem und berechtigtem Personal unter Einhaltung geeigneter Schutzvorkehrungen durchgeführt werden. Benutzen Sie den Stromwandler niemals an blanken Leitern, die ein Potential von mehr als 1000 V (CAT III) bzw.
_______________________________________________________________ 4.5 MESSUNG Um das Gerät einzuschalten, stellen Sie den Drehschalter von der Stellung “OFF” (Aus) auf den gewünschten Messbereich. Falls der Wert des zu messenden Stromes nicht bekannt ist, wählen Sie zuerst den größten Messbereich und reduzieren ihn dann entsprechend. Beim Einschalten und bei der Messbereichswahl können die rote und orange LED kurz aufleuchten.
______________________________________________________________ 5 WARTUNG Verwenden Sie die METRAFLEX nicht, falls diese beschädigt sind. Untersuchen Sie vor dem Einsatz immer das Elektronikgehäuse, das Verbindungskabel und den flexiblen Messkopf auf Beschädigungen. Zur Vermeidung von elektrischem Schlag halten Sie die METRAFLEX sauber und frei von Verschmutzung der Oberfläche. Verwenden Sie Isopropyl-Alkohol, um das Elektronikgehäuse und den Messkopf zu reinigen.

They can be used to measure AC current up to 3000A by being connected to an appropriate measuring device (multimeter, data logger, power analyser etc.). OPERATION 4.1 BATTERY INSTALLATION AND BATTERY STATUS Never replace batteries with flexible measuring head installed on conductor to be tested or output connected to a measuring device. Never operate the unit without the battery cover fitted. The METRAFLEX require two AA MN1500 LR6 alkaline batteries for operation. The battery compartment is accessed from the rear of the electronics enclosure.
______________________________________________________________ 4.2 EXTERNAL POWER SUPPLY Alternatively, the METRAFLEX can also be supplied by an external DC voltage source (except METRAFLEX 3000). The connection is made at the connector on the side of the electronics housing. Supply voltage range, see Technical Data.
_______________________________________________________________ 4.3 CONNECTING TO MEASURING DEVICE Read safety section of instructions before operating this product. METRAFLEX 3000: Plug the output cable of the current sensor into the voltage measuring input terminals of the multimeter (black to GND, red to V) and switch it to V AC. METRAFLEX 3001/3003: Plug each output cable of the current sensor to the current measuring input terminals “I” on the MAVOWATT|50.
______________________________________________________________ 4.4 CONNECTING TO THE CIRCUIT TO BE MEASURED It is strongly recommended to de-energize the circuits to be measured when making connections to the installation. If it is necessary to make connections on energized circuits they must be made by qualified and authorized personnel only observing the required safety precautions.. Never apply the probe around bare conductors with voltage levels over 1000V (CAT III) or 600V (CAT IV) to ground.
_______________________________________________________________ 4.5 MEASUREMENT To activate unit, move the rotary switch from the “off” position to the required measuring range. If the value of current being measured is unknown, first select the highest range and then reduce accordingly. The red and the orange LED might flash when the unit is switched on or when the measuring range is changed.
______________________________________________________________ 5. MAINTENANCE Do not use METRAFLEX if damaged. Always inspect the integrator unit, connecting cable, and flexible probes for damage before use. To avoid electric shock, keep the METRAFLEX clean and free of surface contamination. Use Isopropyl alcohol to clean the electronics unit and the probe. Make sure the flexible probe, connecting cable, and electronics enclosure are dry before further use. 6.
