Computer-Aided Balancing
Preparation
Connect the bus cable to the interfaces at the PC and the
KONSTANTER.
Further preparation for computer-aided adjustment of the
KONSTANTER is identical to preparation for manual
adjustment.
Computer-Aided Adjustment (manual)
In this case, you’ll work interactively with the PC, the
KONSTANTER and the measuring instrument. The following
command is used to control the KONSTANTER via the PC:
CAL txt, v
Parameter txt, v
Alternatives for the txt and v parameters
In order to implement this command, it must be translated into
the language required by the interface. We use HP Basic for
IEC bus systems, which results in the following syntax:
Output 713; "CAL Uoff"
Example for adjustment with PC
Adjustment must be executed in the following manner and
sequence.
OUTPUT 713; "CAL Uoff"
The start adjustment command is transmitted to the
KONSTANTER. The KONSTANTER reads out the Uoff value.
Read the measured value from the external measuring
instrument.
OUTPUT 713; "CAL Uoff, 0.478"
0.478 is the value read from the external measuring instrument.
It is entered as a numeric parameter value.
OUTPUT 713; "CAL Ufs"
The KONSTANTER reads out the Ufs value.
Read the measured value from the external measuring instrument.
OUTPUT 713; "CAL Ufs, 71.00"
71.00 is the value read from the external measuring instrument.
It is entered as a numeric parameter value.
OUTPUT 713; "CAL Ioff"
The KONSTANTER reads out the Ioff value.
Read the measured value from the external measuring
instrument.
OUTPUT 713; "CAL Ioff, 0.048"
0.048 is the value read from the external measuring instrument.
It is entered as a numeric parameter value.
OUTPUT 713; "CAL Ifs"
The KONSTANTER reads out the Ifs value.
Read the measured value from the external measuring
instrument.
OUTPUT 713; "CAL Ifs, 5.863"
5.863 is the value read from the external measuring instrument.
It is entered as a numeric parameter value.
OUTPUT 713; "CAL date, 06.95"
As opposed to direct computer adjustment, the adjustment date
must be entered after the routine has been completed. However,
the last adjustment date cannot be queried in this case.
The adjusting routine is finished after the adjustment date has
been entered.
Computer-Aided Adjustment (automatic)
Use an additional bus cable to connect the PC and the
external measuring instrument to each other.
A program must be written for fully automated adjustment
which is matched to the interface, allowing for data exchange
amongst the PC, the system multimeter and the
KONSTANTER, as well as data interpretation and translation.
The commands used for transmitting data correspond to those
listed above for keyboard entry.
7.3 Self-Test Triggering
The device tests itself for possible errors.
Select the CAL function group from the function group menu.
Press the < SELECT> key.
tESt Strt appears at the display.
Start the self-test by pressing the <ENTER> key.
The LOCKED/SEQ LED blinks during testing.
Any detected errors are indicated by briefly displaying the
Err 11 message (see error list).
