DCL, SDC – Device Clear Function
Functions
Clears input and output buffers at the computer interfaces.
e.g. requested data which have not been picked up
Clears internal interface waiting times or disabling.
TheKONSTANTER is ready to receive data.
Manual operation is not possible.
Programming
Setting command: DCL (= device clear)
SDC (= selected device clear)
Used for: Both interfaces
Setting command: CLEAR 713 (
^
SDC )
Used for: One IEC interface only, command for
specified bus user, fast
Setting command: CLEAR 7 (
^

DELAY, DELAY? – Output Off Delay for OCP
Settings
Function and manual operation:
See explanation on page 26.
Programming
Setting command: DELAY v
Parameter: v (value)
Parameter type: Real number
Setting range: 00.00 [s] ... 99.99 [s]
Resolution: 10 ms
Default setting: 00.00 [s] (after RESET (*RST))
Example (HP Basic):
OUTPUT 713;"DELAY 10.7"
{output off delay: 10.7 seconds}
Query
Displays selected delay time from initialization of current
regulation until the power output is deactivated.
Programming
Setting command: DELAY?
Response string: DELAY v
Length: 11 characters, fixed
Parameter: v (value)
Format v:nn.nn
Example (HP Basic):
OUTPUT 713; "DELAY?"
ENTER 713; A$
DISP A$
Display: DELAY 10.70
DISPLAY, DISPLAY? – Activate / Deactivate Digital Displays
Settings
Functions
Activate / deactivate the 7-segment displays during remote
operation
If the display has been deactivated, it need not be continuously
refreshed.
This results in somewhat shorter measuring and setting times
during interface operation.
Programming
Setting command: DISPLAY txt
Parameter: txt (status)
Parameter type: Text (character)
Setting range: OFF 7-segment display deactivated
ON 7-segment display activated
Default setting: ON (after RESET, *RST)
Example (HP Basic):

{deactivate 7-segment display}
Comment
If the “REMOTE” operating mode is exited, the 7-segment
display is automatically reactivated.
Query
On-off status of the 7-segment displays
Programming
Query command: DISPLAY?
Response string: DISPLAY txt
Length: 11 characters, fixed
Parameter txt (status)
Example (HP Basic):
OUTPUT 713;"DISPLAY?"
ENTER 713; A$
DISP A$
Display: DISPLAY OFF
ERA?, ERB?, *ESR? – Event Register Query
Functions
Event register (see also chapter 6.3 on page 60 and the table:
“Query Commands for Status and Events Management” on
page 86).
The device is equipped with 3 event registers.
An enable register is assigned to each event register.
The registers can be queried separately.
Acquiring and saving status changes for specific device
functions
Information regarding events which have occurred at the device
since the last query
The inputs respond in an edge controlled fashion.
A bit is set if the associated function:
Is changed from FALSE to TRUE (input ),
