7.2 General Processing of Catalog Entries
Creating Catalog Entries
Tap t he New symbol in order to create a new catalog entry. All
fields highlighted in red in the submenu are mandatory fields and
must contain a valid value. After entering all of the data, tap the
Save icon in order to add the new entry to the catalog. If the
menu is exited without pressing save, all new entries are ignored.
Existing test sequences can be used as templates when entering
new test sequences (see section 7.4.3).
Note
Avoid the use of special characters and blanks at the
beginnings and ends of entries. This may lead to problems
with vFM / PS3 or other databases.
Editing Catalog Entries
Tap the line in which the respective catalog entry appears (do not
activate the respective checkbox), in order to edit a catalog entry
(entry of the hand symbol type).
Deleting Catalog Entries
In order to delete an existing catalog entry, first select the desired
entry by activating the respective checkbox. Then tap the Delete
symbol .
With some menu items you have the option of selecting and
deleting all catalog elements of a specific type. However, only
those catalog elements are marked which are actually visible at
the display.
If all of the elements from a given catalog need to be deleted, use
the DB Statistics menu item (see section 4.11.7).
Already referenced DUTs cannot be deleted.
Selecting a Catalog Entry
One or several entries can be marked with an X.
Only one entry can be selected from a catalog.
Assigning Catalog Elements to a Hierarchy
Some data records must be assigned to an object hierarchy. If
more than one object hierarchy has been activated, it must be
selected manually.
The following object hierarchies are available in the default state:
r Systems (HK4)
r Medical technology(HK10)
r Building services (HK11)
r EDP (HK13)
r Facility fire prevention (HK 46)
The administrator can activate and deactivate hierarchies, see
section 4.11.10. As from firmware version 1.9.3 the administrator
is allowed to change the designation of the hierarchies.
If the info symbol is active, a short piece of information on the
selected object is shown at the bottom of the display.
