6.3.5 Loading DUT Data by Entering the ID Number
All of the data for a given device under test (designation, object
type, customer and location), as well as the associated test se-
quence, are saved with reference to an ID number (see page 94). If
a nonexistent ID number is entered to the test index card, a
prompt appears for the entry of a new object. The display is
switched to the administration view to this end. There are different
ways to enter the ID number :
• Manually (tap the entry field: the softkeys for the alphanumeric
keypad are displayed)
• With an external USB keyboard
• With a USB barcode scanner
• With a transponder
• With another USB entry device
Note

If entry is made with a USB keyboard, USB barcode
scanner, transponder etc., the ID number field does not
have to be selected. The password is confirmed by pressing
the return key.
