Operation Manual

GMC-I Messtechnik GmbH 37
Initial Start-Up – Setup
When restoring the database with the restore function, extensive
checking of the database structure is executed. If the database is
defective, it cannot be restored.
If you have saved the backup file under another name to a PC:
Note that the backup file used for restoring data must have file
name “secustar.db.bak”.
Attention!
!
If you respond to the prompt by tapping “Yes, the database
backup file (secustar.db.bak or preUpdateYYYY-MM-
DD.xml) is restored to the test system from the inserted com-
pact flash card. The current database is overwritten and its
data are irretrievably lost.
If no compact flash card has been inserted, data cannot be
restored.
Note
Data originating from an older version of the test system
cannot be restored. Execute the export function before, and
the import function after updating for this reason. (see sec-
tion 7.7.7).
4.11.6 DB Init – Database Initialization (admin only)
Attention!
!
If you respond to the prompt by tapping “Yes”, the database
is returned to its default state (as shipped from the factory),
and all data are irretrievably lost except for the test person
and the information as to which hierarchies were active.
4.11.7 DB-Stat – Database Statistics
All database entries are recorded statistically here, and are listed
according to category.
An “occupancy bar graph” is also displayed, which indicates how
well the test system can be operated (= number of data records).
As of 5000 data records, the test system becomes slower.
The catalogs can be selectively deleted as well.
Attention!
!
If the security prompt is acknowledged with yes, the
corresponding entries are deleted and the data are irretriev-
ably lost.
