11 Maintenance and Calibration
11.1 Housing Maintenance
No special maintenance is required for the housing. Keep outside
surfaces clean. Use a slightly dampened cloth for cleaning. Avoid
the use of cleansers, abrasives or solvents.
11.2 Battery Pack Maintenance
Depleted rechargeable batteries require at least 3 hours
recharging time. If the batteries have been excessively depleted,
the test system cannot be switched on. Leave the test system
connected to the mains with the power cable for approximately
30 minutes before switching on.
Battery Pack Storage
1 year at -20 to +35 C
3 months at -20 to +45 C
1 month at -20 to +55 C
Refer to section 4.2 on page 18 regarding battery pack replace-
ment.

The instrument may not be operated if the battery
compartment lid has not been properly installed and
secured!
Battery Pack Disposal
Dispose of old rechargeable batteries properly, i.e. at a desig-
nated collection point.
11.3 Replacing the Fuses
All fuses are accessible from the outside.
If a fuse should blow, eliminate the cause of overload before
placing the instrument back into service!

Disconnect the instrument from the measuring circuit be-
fore removing the fuse!

Use specified fuses only!
If fuses with other blowing characteristics, other current
ratings or other breaking capacities are used, the opera-
tor is placed in danger, and protective diodes, resistors
and other components may be damaged.
The use of repaired fuses or short-circuiting the fuse
holder is prohibited.
