Entering Location Designations
Ð Enter a new location designation:
Ð Entry field: Enter location designation
Note

Entry of a new designation or editing of an existing designa-
tion can be exited at any time by pressing the ESC key
(when not in the keyboard entry mode) or (in the key-
board entry mode). Entries are ignored.
Ð Add the new designation to the catalog by tapping Save
.
7.7 Data Exchange Between the test system and vFM / PS3
Data from the database in the test system can be exchanged with
other databases, in particular with vFM / PS3, by means of export
and import files.
Data exchange is carried out by means of special files, which
must be included on the storage medium used for data exchange
in a specified structure:
Example based on Compact Flash
Root:
cmd.def Determines which catalogs will be
exchanged.
Secustar.def Determines which data fields will be
exchanged.
Vers.def Determines which hierarchies are enabled
in vFM / PS3.
Note

Your compact flash card has already been prepared for
exchanging data with vFM / PS3, and the above mentioned
files are thus located in the root directory.
