Automatic Test – Administration
7.4.3 Catalog of Sequences
As of software version 1.9.3, fixed sequences and test step
specifications are no longer stored to the test system, and are
instead included on a CF card (see section 4.6).
The sequences can be write protected, so that they are not
deleted if the option “delete all test sequences” is selected in
SETUP ñ (red padlock).
The padlock icon must be selected in order to activate or
deactivate write protection. The test sequences included in this
catalog can be used when DUTs or deadlines for periodic testing
(deadline administration) are entered.
Designation
The name of the test (sequence) consists of three
parts:
standard – passive, active or EDP component – safety class.
This designation appears for the automatic sequence
in the test sequences index card under process.
Standard Designation of the standard or regulation
(see section 7.4.1)
Creating a New Test Sequence
All of the necessary test steps must first be entered before a new
test sequence can be created. We recommend entering all re-
quired test steps before creating the test sequence in order to
avoid repeated switching back and forth between the menus (test
steps cannot be entered from the test sequence administration
function). Go to the catalog of test step specifications to this end
(see section 7.4.2).
When creating new test sequences, the order of the test steps
included in the test sequence can be changed as desired with the scroll
keys at the right-hand side of the test steps index card, as long as at
least two test steps have been selected.
Individual test steps can be saved as new test step specifications
with the key.
We recommend saving newly entered test sequences at regular
intervals with the help of the
Backup
function in the
Setup
menu (see section 4.11.3) or via the data export function as an XML
file which is independent of a version, see section 7.7.6
.
