Automatic Test – Administration
Ð The new object type is added to the catalog by tapping Save .
We recommend saving newly entered object types at regular
intervals with the help of the Backup function in the Setup
menu (see section 4.11.3) , or via the data export function as an
XML file which is independent of a version, see section 7.7.6.
Editing an Object Type
Object types can be selected for editing from a catalog of previ-
ously entered object types by selecting the respective line.
Deleting an Object Type
In order to delete existing object types, they must first be marked
in the catalog by activating the respective checkbox. Already ref-
erenced object types cannot be deleted.

Entering an Object Type
Ð Enter a new object type:

Select object type
Basic Attributes Index Card
Ð Designation Select
A catalog of all designations is displayed.
Ð Select an appropriate designation or enter a new one.
Ð Manufacturer Select
The same procedure is used here as is also the case for entering
designations.
Ð Type Enter the type designation
All other parameters listed in this index card are optional entries.
Extended Attributes Index Card
Ð Voltage . . . Enter technical data
Ð Current . . . Enter technical data
Ð Power . . . Enter technical data
Ð xx mark Mark available certifications
Ð Permanently installed equipment Mark if this is the case
Ð Permanent connection Mark if this is the case
Test Sequences Index Card
Ð Select Add test sequence.
A catalog of all test sequences is displayed.
Ð Mark the desired test sequence.
Ð All selected test sequences are added to the new test se-
quence by tapping OK.
Note

If a device under test is created from an object type to which
a test sequence has been assigned, the test sequence is
automatically assigned to the device under test.
Note

Entry of a new object type or editing of an existing object
type can be exited at any time by pressing the ESC key
(when not in the keyboard entry mode) or (in the
keyboard entry mode). Entries are ignored. At this point, no
new test sequences can be created.
Ð Add the new object type to the catalog by tapping Save .
