Probe Test (probe connection test)
Testing is conducted to determine whether or not
the test probe is plugged into sockets 1 and 2, i.e.
whether or not a (low impedance) connection exists between the
two connector plugs.
Probe plugged in í message: OK
Probe not plugged in í message: Error
Safety Class Test
– DUT safety class detection
This test determines whether or not a safety class I device
(earthing contact plug) is plugged into the test socket. Resistance
between the protective conductor terminal at the mains plug and
the protective conductor contact at the test socket is measured
to this end:
R < 0.5 : protective conductor exists í SC1
R > 5 : no protective conductor í SC2
Note: SC2 also appears at the display if no DUT is connected, or
if the protective conductor at the plug is only contacted at one
side.
