Changing Your Own Password (user status)
The old password must first be entered correctly before it can be
changed. The new password can then by typed in. In order to
acknowledge the new password, it must be entered a second
time and acknowledged by tapping OK.
The changed password is not updated to the test system until it
has been saved.
Deleting Users (admin status)
In order to delete users and their data, activate the checkbox to
the left of the respective user and tap the delete symbol.
Note
Users which have been added to the CF card are updated to
the test system during import.
4.10.2 Roles – Assigning Authority
The user with administrator authority (admin status) is able to
assign authority allowing users to enter new designations and
manufacturers in the “Roles” setup menu. This authority is not
assigned to individual persons (i.e. test person names), but rather
to a group, for example standard users.
If the respective user of a given group (user status) does not have
this authority, he is only able to select designations and manufac-
turers from a list.
4.10.3 Configuring the Display
Calibrating the Touch Screen
Recalibration of the touch screen becomes necessary when, for
example, the symbols have to be tapped at the side instead of in
the middle in order to activate the various functions and menus.
The calibration menu appears automatically after a reset, after the
batteries have been replaced and if the system has been
switched off for a period of longer than 2 hours.
Three crosshairs, one at the top left and one at the bottom right,
must be tapped with the wand, one after the other, in order to
calibrate the touch screen. The procedure is then concluded by
tapping OK.
Adjusting Brightness and Contrast
Brightness (0 ... 4 ... 7) and contrast (0 ... 100 ... 1xx) are adjusted
either with sliders or numerically. New values are only activated if
acknowledged by tapping the OK button within a given period of
time which is specified by means of a count-down timer (7 to 0
seconds).
Note
From device variant SECUSTAR FM+ onwards, it is no longer
possible to adjust the contrast.
