Initial Start-Up – Setup
Standby Mode
The system should be switched to the standby mode during
breaks in order to
deactivate the energy intensive background illumination and ex-
tend the service life of the rechargeable batteries.
Ð Press the Standby key.
The test system is switched to the standby mode.
The test system is shut down completely after two hours in the
standby mode.
The test system is reactivated by pressing the ONSTART key, or
by tapping the touch screen.
Switching the System Off
The test system is shut down, and the database is reorganized and
backed up to the CF card / USB stick, if the auto-backup function
is activated.
If the auto-backup function is deactivated, a message appears
when the test system is shut down.
If the test system cannot be switched off with the ESC+HELP key
combination, it can be shut down in an emergency test system by
pressing and holding the Start key for roughly 5 seconds.
Attention!
!
The database may be destroyed in this case!
If the test system is not switched off normally, but rather by means
of a reset, by pressing and holding the Start key, due to power fail-
ure etc., extensive database checking is executed the next time
the instrument is switched on.
4.6 Loading Test Sequences and Test Step Specifications
As of software version 1.9.3, fixed sequences and test step
specifications are no longer stored to the test system, and are
instead included on a CF card as XML files. The inspector is thus
able to load only those sequences to the test system which he ac-
tually needs.
The test sequences can also be write protected, so that they’re
not deleted if the option delete all test sequences” is selected in
SETUP ñ DB Statistics.
Attention!
!
If DB-Init is executed in the SETUP menu, write protection is
not functional!
Loading a test sequence:
Ð Open the Administration menu.
Ð Select the Im-/Export index card.
Ð Touch the Import icon.
Ð Select Files in XML Format on CF Card.
Ð Selected the appropriate XML file.
The XML file is loaded and the corresponding test sequences are
immediately available in the test system.
See also section 7.7.7 to this end.
If you attempt to import a sequence whose name has already
been used in the test system, testing is executed in order to
determine whether or not the sequences have the same content.
If so, the deadlines and the tests are imported without any further
security prompts. if the test sequences are not identical, the user
is asked whether or not the sequence (including tests and dead-
lines) in the database at the test system should be overwritten.
