10.10 List of Compatible Printers
The SECUSTAR FM+ or SECULIFE SB test system is capable of con-
trolling printers featuring the HP printer language „PCL“ (Printer
Command Language) in the appropriate version and which are
equipped with a USB port.
This covers a broad range of HP ink jet and laser printers, pro-
vided they support PCL3 and/or PCL5 (no „Host-Based Printing“
or „Host-based PCL“; printers which only support „PCL3GUI“ or
strictly require „PCL3 HPA“, are partly not supported either).
The above list has been compiled on the basis of the manufac-
turer‘s specifications. No guarantee is given that these printers
are actually compatible with the test system.
The test system controls all printers with B&W commands, which
means that the print-outs are only produced in black and white or
grey scale values.
