Automatic Test – Administration
Data exchange is carried out in two stages:
1. Exchange of catalog data „Catalog“
(Catalog data are all one-time only entries for an object.)
Data transfer from the following catalogs is possible with vFM / PS3
(examples in parentheses):
• Objects (ID number, designation, serial number, comment,
cost center)
• Work directives (designation, work steps)
• Object types (manufacturer, type)
• Object designations
• Customers (ID, name, address)
• Building (location)
•Rooms (ID, name)
• Addresses
Attention!
!
Objects, object types and object designations, as well as
their deadlines, can only be imported or exported from or to
activated hierarchies. If the hierarchies have not bee acti-
vated, the above mentioned data are discarded.
2. Exchange of portable data
Portable data include all types of tests (measurement results for
the above listed objects) and deadlines.
7.7.1 Preparing for Data Exchange (vFM / PS3 only)
Data is exchanged between vFM / PS3 and the test system via the
CF card / USB stick. Configuration files are required to this end,
which are accessed by the test system and vFM / PS3 from the CF
card or the USB stick. The configuration files control the scope of
data exchange.
Ð Select Prepare CF Card or USB Stick.
The cmd.def and secustar.def files are created on your CF card or
USB stick.
Prerequisites
• A formatted type II CF card or USB stick is inserted.
• The yellow LED next to the slot is lit up.
Attention!

Existing configuration files with the same names are
overwritten during the preparation procedure.
