Automatic Test – Administration
makes reference to a database, from which previously entered at-
tributes can be taken. It is advisable to enter at least one suitable
test sequence, so that the DUT can be tested with the automatic
test function.
We recommend saving newly entered DUTs at regular intervals
with the help of the Backup function in the Setup menu (see
section 4.11.3)
or via the data export function as an XML file which
is independent of a version, see section 7.7.6.
Editing a Device Under Test
DUTs can be selected for editing from a catalog of previously en-
tered DUTs by selecting the respective line.
Deleting a Device Under Test
In order to delete existing DUTs, they must first be marked in the
catalog by activating the respective checkbox.
Attention!
!
If referenced DUTs are deleted, all associated tests and
deadlines are deleted as well.
Short-form Operating Instructions
Entering a Device Under Test
Ð Enter a new DUT:
Ð Select an object hierarchy.
Basic Attributes Index Card
Ð ID no. Enter
Ð Designation Select
A catalog of all designations is displayed.
Ð Select an appropriate designation or enter a new one.
Note

New designations which are entered here are not added to
the accessible catalog of designations unless the object
type is subsequently saved.
Ð Manufacturer/typeSelect
A catalog is displayed which contains all manufacturers with as-
signed types next to each other.
Ð Select the suitable name or enter a new one.
The same procedure is used here as is also the case for entering
designations.
All other parameters listed in this index card are optional entries.
Customer Index Card
Ð Customer: Select the company, the department or the person
from a catalog to whom this DUT should be assigned.
Ð Location:
Select the property, building, floor or room from a catalog or
create a new one to which this DUT should be assigned.
