7.6.2 Catalog of Locations
Individual locations included in this catalog can be supplemented
or deleted. The hierarchy levels can be opened up by pressing the
“+” symbol.
Entering a New Location
When a data record is entered, a location type must first be
selected:
r Room
r Floor
r Building
r Property
Observe the hierarchy as depicted on page 111. Enter the loca-
tion type with the highest hierarchical level first, and then proceed
in descending order to building (floor if required) and finally room.
While entering a new location, you can access the alphabetically
arranged location designations.
The ID number should be selected such that the hierarchy in the
catalog is reflected (see above example, “Catalog of Locations”).
We recommend saving newly entered locations at regular inter-
vals with the help of the Backup function in the Setup menu
(see
section 4.11.3 ) or via the data export function as an XML file
which is independent of a version, see section 7.7.6 .
Editing a Location
Designations can be selected for editing from a catalog of previ-
ously entered locations by selecting the respective line.
Deleting a Location
In order to delete existing locations, they must first be marked in
the catalog by activating the respective checkbox. Locations for
which references already exist cannot be deleted.
