9.1 Compensation for Measurement and Extension Cables (up to 10 )
Measurement and extension cable ohmic resistance can be subtracted
automatically from the measurement results. Proceed as follows:
Ð Activate the  key in the menu bar.
Ð Short circuit the two test probes at the ends of the measuring cables,
with interconnected extension cables if used.
Ð Activate the Offset key. Cable resistance is displayed to the right of
Offset.
Ð Connect the device under test.
Ð Start low-resistance measurement with the START key. The display
value R
LO
represents the measured value, from which the cable
resistance value R
Offset
has already been subtracted.
9.2 Setting the Limit Value
A resistance limit value can be selected with the “LIMIT” function. If a
measured value exceeds this limit value, the red LIMIT LED lights up.
