7.2 Configuring Interface Parameters
1rStb – Status of the Infrared Receiver in the Stand-by Mode
There are two possible switching statuses for the infrared inter-
face when the multimeter is switched off (refers to METRAHIT ULTRA
(M248A) and METRAHIT ULTRA BT (M248B), if Com ir has been set):
ir on: IR appears at the display and the infrared interface is
active, i.e. signals such as making commands can be
received, and power is consumed even though the
multimeter is switched off.
ir oFF: IR does not appear at the display and the infrared
interface is switched off, signals cannot be received.

Interface Selection for METRAHIT ULTRA BT (M248B)
Com ir Symbol IR for infrared is shown in the display, the infra-
red interface is selected and is either active or not
active, depending on the parameter setting for irstb,
see above. The Bluetooth interface is deactivated.
Com bt Symbol for Bluetooth is shown in the display, the
Bluetooth interface is active. The infrared interface is
deactivated.

bt Pin – Allocating the pin for the Bluetooth interface
The pin entered at the multimeter must correspond to the pin at
the PC or smartphone.

Addr – Multimeter Address
If several multimeters are connected to the PC via an interface
adapter, a separate address can be assigned to each instrument.
Address number 1 should be selected for the first instrument, 2
should be assigned to the second and so forth.
