2. HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION
Emergency Overview
Harmful. Prolong exposure thorough inhalation, ingestion and skin contact can cause serious health damage. Methyl
alcohol is formed during curing. When handling, make sure to provide adequate ventilation to control vapor exposure
to appropriate inhalation guidelines. OSHA has established a PEL of 200ppm, 8 hour TWA.

May cause eye irritation.
Skin contact
May cause skin irritation.
Ingestion
Ingestion can cause gastrointestinal irritation, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. It may affect the central nervous
system and cause headaches, sleepiness, dizziness, slurred speech and/or blurred vision. If small amounts are
aspirated into the lungs, it may cause mild to severe pulmonary injury.
Inhalation
May cause irritation to the respiratory system. Methyl alcohol is formed during curing. Use with adequate
ventilation. Repeated inhalation may be harmful. May cause lung irritation and/or serious central nervous system
disorders. Inhalation at high concentrations can cause narcotic effects and metabolic acidosis.
