Organizing and Uploading
Establishing an upload schedule, communicating that
schedule, and being careful not to overwhelm your
subscribers’ feeds are important in maintaining an active
subscriber base and a healthy channel.
Communicate Your Programming Slate
• Create an introductory video that announces your
channel’s schedule or re-purpose an existing show
trailer if messaging already exists.
• If your audience expects a certain show on Tuesday
afternoon, they will visit your channel on Tuesday
afternoon to see that show. Stay consistent and don’t
confuse your audience.
• If you have multiple shows, give each show a time slot
throughout the week.
• Along with a separate video, communicate your
programming schedule with bug branding,
annotations, and channel page branding.
• Your upload schedule should be spread throughout
the week.
• Programming slates can include scheduled curation.
• Use channel branding to link playlists.
Maintain an Active Feed
• Liking, favoriting, and adding videos to playlists
trigger events in your feed that are broadcasted to
your subscribers.
• Augment uploads with curation (liking, favoriting,
subscribing to new channels, and playlisting all are
acts of curation).
• Curate content that will appeal to your audience.
By becoming a source for relevant content, your
channel will better engage its subscribers.
• Multiple uploads over a small period of time can
overwhelm your subscribers’ feeds. To maintain
an active feed without overwhelming
subscribers, program weekends and nights with
the upload scheduling tool.

schedule and thanking subscribers.
