Basic safety

To avoid damaging your device, accessories, or any connected devices and to reduce the risk of personal injury, discomfort,
proper ty damage or other potential hazards, follow the precautions below and those found in the Chromecast (Google TV )

• Handle your Chromecast and Chromecast Voice Remote with care. You may damage the Chromecast or remote if you
disassemble, drop, bend, burn, crush, or puncture them. Be sure the power adapter and Chromecast are well ventilated when in
use. Using a damaged Chromecast, damaged cables or power adapter, or using when moisture or debris is present, may cause
overheating, re, electric shock , injury, or damage to your Chromecast or other proper ty. Do not expose your Chromecast or
remote to liquids, which can cause a short circuit and overheating. Do not power the Chromecast when wet or in direct sunlight.
• Only power this Chromecast with the included power adapter and cable or compatible accessories available on the Google
Store or at Google authorized resellers (look for Google’s “made for” badge). Failure to use compatible accessories can cause
re, electric shock, injury, or damage to the Chromecast and the accessories.
• Strangulation hazard. This device is not a toy. Children have strangled on cords. Keep the cords out of the reach of children
(more than 3 feet / 1 meter away).

• The remote contains alkaline A AA batteries which are sensitive components that can cause injury if damaged or ingested.
Keep away from children. If ingested, seek medical attention immediately. Use of an unqualied and/or damaged battery
or improper disposal may present a risk of re, explosion, leakage, and/or other hazards. Do not open, disassemble, crush,
puncture, heat, or incinerate batteries. Do not attempt to recharge an alkaline battery.
• Replace all batteries at the same time. Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not use lithium ion or any other batteries with
rated voltage above 1.5V.
DISPOSAL & RECYCLING
Dispose of your Chromecast, remote, batteries, and accessories according to local environmental regulations. Do not

Service & Suppo
For online help and support, visit g.co/cast/help. If you send your Chromecast or remote in for service, you might receive a
replacement in place of your original device. Repair or replacement may result in the loss of user-generated data.
