• The alarm cannot be operated from power
derived from a square wave, modified square
wave or modified sine wave, inverter. These
types of inverters are sometimes used to
supply power to the structure in off grid
installations, such as solar or wind derived
power sources. These power sources produce
high peak voltages that will damage the alarm.
• Never disconnect the power from an AC
powered unit to stop an unwanted alarm.
Doing so will disable the unit and remove
your protection. In the case of a true
unwanted alarm open a window or fan
the smoke away from the unit. The alarm
will reset automatically when it returns
tonormaloperation.
• Improper wiring of the power connector or
the wiring leading to the power connector
will cause damage to the alarm and may lead
to a non-functioning alarm. You must test to
ensure proper installation.
• There is a risk of electrical shock, if the smoke
alarm is tampered in any way.
