FAQ
Does Quick Pitch produce a level perimeter?
No, but if a level perimeter is desired, use a humid mud mix under the
stick ends to raise them up to the level line, then screed to the top of the
sticks as normal. Take note that this will severely increase the fall per
foot to the floor surface. Also keep in mind that on a shower floor where
the drain is 4-6 inches from the wall, as in a Tub to Shower conversion,
the result will be an undesirable appearance around the drain that will
be nearly impossible to tile. In this instance, just let Quick Pitch do the
job as designed and it will create a perfectly sloped floor.
Will Quick Pitch work for off center drains?
Yes. Quick-Pitch will confidently create a properly sloped shower floor
base regardless of size, shape or drain location.
Won't Pre-Pitch and Quick Pitch together double the pitch to ½
inch per foot?
No. The Quick Pitch Center Ring rests on top of the clamping flange bolt
heads of the drain assembly which raises the system up to account for
Pre-Pitch thus eliminating the doubling of pitch.
Do I have to use your drain and liner?
Quick Pitch will work with all liners and all standard 3-Piece adjustable
shower drains.
Will Quick Pitch work without using Pre-Pitch?
Yes, but it is strongly not recommended. The liner should not lay flat on
the subfloor. The water that contacts it is not controlled. When water
passes through the tiled mudbed, and it always does or there would not
be the need for a liner, it is improper and usually against enforced code
to construct a shower without some type of pre-sloping of the subfloor.
