S-201 CHECKING TEM PERATURE RISE
Temperature rise is related t o the BTUH out put of the unit and t he
amount of air (CFM ) circulated over the indoor coil.
All units are designed for a given range of temperature increase.
This is the t emperature of the air leaving the unit minus the t em-
perature of the air entering t he unit.
The more air (CFM ) being delivered through a given unit the less
the rise w ill be; so the less air (CFM ) being delivered, t he greater
the rise. The t emperature rise should be adjusted in accordance
to a given unit specifications and it s ext ernal static pressure.
1. Take ent ering and leaving air temperatures.
2. Select the proper speed tap from the unit's blower perfor-
mance data in the Technical M anual for the specific unit.
3. Take mot or amperage draw to det ermine t hat the mot or is
not overloaded during adjust ments.
