17 Air Handler Low Voltage Connections
The f ollowing composit e wiring diagrams det ail various
conf igurat ions in which t he air handlers can be used. Ex-
amples include single-st age cooling and heat pump wit h
single or t wo-st age elect ric heat ing. All t hese conf igura-
t ions can be applied wit h convenient connect ions t o out -
door t hermost at applicat ions.
The f ollowing sect ions are det ailed:
• Single-St age Cooling
• Heat Pump
Each diagram det ails t he connect ions bet ween room t her-
most at and t he air handlers, and t he connect ions bet ween
t he air handlers and t he Condensing Unit (or Heat Pump)
wit h opt ional connect ions t o Out door Thermost at s. For
each conf igurat ion, ref er t o t he explanat ion of t he proper
j umper(s) t o remove f or t he corresponding blower speed
t hat will result in t he programmed fixed speed ECM mot or.
IMPORTANT: WHEN MATCHING THE ASPT
AIR HANDLERS TO A SINGLE SPEED
COOLING OR HEAT PUMP UNIT, REMEMBER
TO CONNECT “ Y” FROM THE THERMOSTAT
TO THE “ Y2” ON THE LOW VOLTAGE
TERMINAL BOARD.
