Air Handler Low Voltage Connections

The follow ing composite wiring diagrams det ail various configurat ions in which the air handlers can be used. Examples include single-

st age cooling and heat pump wit h single or two-stage electric heating. All these configurat ions can be applied with convenient con-

nections to out door thermost at applications.

The follow ing sect ions are det ailed:

• Single-Stage Cooling

• Heat Pump

Each diagram details the connections between room thermost at and the air handlers, and the connect ions bet w een the air handlers

and the Condensing Unit (or Heat Pump) with opt ional connections to Out door Thermost at s. For each configuration, refer to the

explanation of the proper jumper(s) to remove for the corresponding blower speed that will result in the programmed fixed speed

ECM mot or.

IM PORTANT: W HEN M ATCHING THE ASPT AIR HANDLERS TO A SINGLE SPEED COOLING OR HEAT PUM P UNIT,

REM EM BER TO CONNECT “Y” FROM THE THERM OSTAT TO THE “Y2” ON THE LOW VOLTAGE TERM INAL BOARD.

An equivalent thermostat can be used in place of the manufacturer’s t hermostat part number.

NOTE: Some models feat ure low voltage wires and do not include a terminal block. For those applications use the corresponding

colored wires.

NOTES:

1) OUTDOOR THERM OSTAT (OT-1) SHOULD BE THE FIRST TO

CLOSE AND THE LAST TO OPEN.

2) JUM PER W1 AND W2 TOGETHER IF OT-2 IS NOT USED.

3) REM OVE WIRE WHEN USING OUTDOOR THERM OSTAT.
