1. Bef ore invert ing t he air handler, remove blower access
panel and coil access panel. The coil access panel and
t ubing panel may remain screwed t oget her during t his
procedure. Remove and ret ain t he seven (7) screws se-
curing t he coil access panel t o t he cabinet and t he six
(6) screws securing t he blower access panel t o t he cabi-
net .
2. Slide t he coil assembly out f rom t he cabinet . Use t he
drain pan t o pull t he assembly f rom t he cabinet .
NOTE: DO NOT USE MANIFOLDS OR FLOWRATOR TO
PULL THE COIL ASSEMBLY OUT. FAILURE TO DO SO
MAY RESULT IN BRAZE JOINT DAMAGE AND LEAKS.
3. Removal of t he cent er support is required on unit s wit h
21" wide cabinet . Remove and ret ain t he t wo (2) screws
t hat secure t he cent er support t o t he cabinet . Remove
t he cent er support .
4. Posit ion t he unit in t he downf low posit ion.
5. Using t he drain pan t o hold t he coil assembly, slide t he
coil assembly back int o t he cabinet on t he downflow
bracket s as shown in Figure 8.
6. Reinst all t he cent er support (if removed) using t he t wo
(2) screws removed in St ep 5.
7. Reinst all t he coil access panels and reinst all blower ac-
cess panel removed in St ep 1 as shown in Figure 9.
8. Drain Connect ions f or Horizont al Right Inst allat ion
a. The bot t om right drain connect ion in side drain pan
is t he primary drain f or t his applicat ion and conden-
sat e drain line must be at t ached t o t his drain con-
nect ion. The bot t om lef t drain connect ion is for t he
secondary drain line (if used).
b. Remove red plugs from side drain pan bef ore con-
nect ing condensat e drain pipes. Use removed plug t o
close drain port s on vert ical drain pan.
9. Drain Connect ions f or Downflow Inst allat ion
a. The bot t om lef t drain connect ion in t he vert ical drain
pan is t he primary drain f or t his applicat ion and con-
densat e drain l ine must be at t ached t o t his drain con-
nect ion. The bot t om right drain connect ion is for
t he secondary drain line (if used).
b. Remove red plugs from vert ical drain pan bef ore con-
nect ing condensat e drain pipes.
NOTE: If removing only t he coil access panel f rom t he unit ,
t he f ilt er access panel
must be removed f irst . Failure
t o do so will result in panel damage.
