3. Posion the Cupola.
Place the base on the roof in
your desired posion. Caulk
the 2 x 4” boards (as shown
to the right) and place them
on the roof so they are snug
against the inside walls of the
cupola base. Screw them into
the roof.
4. Mounng the Cupola
Pre-drill holes into the base
(seen to the right) prior to
installaon. Ensure the base
is level. Secure the cupola
base to the 2 x 4” boards.
Aer the base has been
installed, place caulk where
the base and roof meet on
the angled sides.
5. Assembling the Cupola
Once the base is secured
to the roof, aach the mid-
secon to the base using the
screws (provided) in the
pre-drilled holes. Install the
roof in the same manner.
Good Direcons cupolas are weathervane ready. A 3/4” hole on top
of the cupola and an internal mounng bracket underneath the roof
are standard. If you are installing a weathervane in your cupola, you
will need to mount the weathervane before nal assembly of the
cupola. If you are not mounng a weathervane, please use the cupola
seal provided.

1. Slide the completed weathervane rod
into the cupola roof.
2. Secure the weathervane rod in place by
ghtening the set screw on the internal
weathervane mounng bracket (pictured
below). You may need addional
extension rods if your weathervane rod
does not reach the bracket.
Cupola Seal
If you are not installing a weathervane,
please use the cupola seal provided.
1. Apply a bead
of caulk to the
seam of the
tube & disk
2. Insert cupola
seal into the
cupola hole
