Our expertly craed cupolas are designed and
manufactured to be low maintenance.
Roofs
• Wooden roofs should be shingled or covered with metal prior to
installaon.
• Polished copper roofs will pana naturally over me. If you would like
to maintain the polished copper nish, you may spray the roof with a
metal-specic clear lacquer.
Wood Cupolas
• Wood cupolas should be primed and painted to protect the wood from
the elements. They should be repainted periodically to ensure the
wood connues to be protected.
Vinyl Cupolas
• Vinyl cupolas are designed to be maintenance free. You may clean
your cupola with a mild detergent. We do not recommend using harsh
chemicals.
• Vinyl cupolas may be painted with vinyl-specic paint to match the
look of your home.
Care and Maintenance
Required (Not Included) : Waterproof caulk, (4) 2 x 4” boards, (2) 1 x 3” boards, Pencil,
Tape Measure, Ulity Knife, Saw, Drill, Level, Addional 3” Screws
1. Determine your Roof Pitch.
As seen below, nail (2) 1 x 3” boards
together so they pivot. Straddle the roof
with each board as shown. We recommend
cung the ridge cap to ensure the cupola
will sit evenly on the roof ridge. Ensure that
each side is at against the roof and the
cross secon is centered and aligns with the
peak of your roof. Mark the boards with a
pencil. This becomes your cung template.

2. Mark the Cupola Base
Using a tape measure to determine the
center of the base, mark the center line
(top to boom) on two opposite sides
of the cupola base. Using the cung
template, draw a line from the boom
corners of the base to the center (see
le). This is your cung line. Start cuts
at the corners and end in the center.
