17Placing your hearing aids in your ears
To avoid whistling, ensure that the tube and dome t correctly into your ear. If you continue to
experience whistling, check the troubleshooting guide for other possible reasons and solutions.
Sports lock
If you are very active, your hearing aids may move from the correct position. To avoid this, your hearing
care professional can attach and adjust a sports lock to the receiver.
To insert a hearing aid with a sports lock:
1. Insert the hearing aid as usual
2. Tuck the sports lock into the bottom of the
concha (the part of your ear just outside the ear
canal)
NOTE: Sports locks may become sti, brittle or discoloured over time. Contact your hearing care
professional for a replacement. Your hearing care professional will help you replace it.
