STANDARD COMMUNICATIONS WARRANTY AGAINST DEFECTS
ThiswarrantyagainstdefectsisgivenbyStandardCommunications
PtyLtdACN000346814(We,us,ourorGME).Ourcontact
detailsaresetoutinclause2.7.Thiswarrantystatementonly
appliestoproductspurchasedinAustralia.Pleasecontactyour
localGMEdistributorforproductssoldoutsideofAustralia.Local
distributordetailsatwww.gme.net.au/export.
1. Consumer guarantees
1.1 Ourgoodscomewithguaranteesthatcannotbeexcluded
undertheAustralianConsumerLaw.Youareentitled
toareplacementorrefundforamajorfailureandfor
compensationforanyotherreasonablyforeseeablelossor
damage.Youarealsoentitledtohavethegoodsrepairedor
replacedifthegoodsfailtobeofacceptablequalityandthe
failuredoesnotamounttoamajorfailure.
1.2 Totheextentweareable,weexcludeallotherconditions,
warrantiesandobligationswhichwouldotherwise
beimplied.
2. Warranty against defects
2.1 Thiswarrantyisinadditiontoanddoesnotlimit,excludeor
restrictyourrightsundertheCompetitionandConsumerAct
2010(Australia)oranyothermandatoryprotectionlawsthat
mayapply.
2.2 Wewarrantourgoodstobefreefromdefectsinmaterials
andworkmanshipforthewarrantyperiod(seewarranty
table)fromthedateoforiginalsale(oranotherperiod
weagreetoinwriting).Subjecttoourobligationsunder
clause1.2,wewillatouroption,eitherrepairorreplace
goodswhichwearesatisedaredefective.Wewarrant
anyreplacementpartsfortheremainderoftheperiodof
warrantyforthegoodsintowhichtheyareincorporated.
2.3 Totheextentpermittedbylaw,oursoleliabilityforbreach
ofacondition,warrantyorotherobligationimpliedbylaw
is limited
(a)inthecaseofgoodswesupply,toanyoneofthe
followingaswedecide–
(i) thereplacementofthegoodsorthesupplyof
equivalentgoods;
(ii) therepairofthegoods;
(iii)thecostofrepairingthegoodsorofacquiring
equivalentgoods;
(b)inthecaseofserviceswesupply,toanyoneofthe
followingaswedecide–
(i) thesupplyingoftheservicesagain;
(ii) thecostofhavingtheservicessuppliedagain.
2.4 Forrepairsoutsidethewarrantyperiod,wewarrantour
repairstobefreefromdefectsinmaterialsandworkmanship
forthreemonthsfromthedateoftheoriginalrepair.We
agreetore-repairorreplace(atouroption)anymaterialsor
workmanshipwhichwearesatisedaredefective.
2.5
Wewarrantthatwewillperformserviceswithreasonable
careandskillandagreetoinvestigateanycomplaint
regardingourservicesmadeingoodfaith.Ifwearesatised
thatthecomplaintisjustied,andasoursoleliabilitytoyou
underthiswarranty(totheextentpermittedatlaw),weagree
tosupplythoseservicesagainatnoextrachargetoyou.
2.6 Tomakeawarrantyclaimyoumustbeforetheendofthe
applicablewarrantyperiod(seewarrantytable),atyour
owncost,returnthegoodsyouallegearedefective,provide
writtendetailsofthedefect,andgiveusanoriginalorcopy
ofthesalesinvoiceorsomeotherevidenceshowingdetails
ofthetransaction.

2.8 Ifwedeterminethatyourgoodsaredefective,wewillpayfor
thecostofreturningtherepairedorreplacedgoodstoyou,
andreimburseyouforyourreasonableexpensesofsending
yourwarrantyclaimtous.
3. What this warranty does not cover
3.1 Thiswarrantywillnotapplyinrelationto:
(a)goodsmodiedoralteredinanyway;
(b)defectsanddamagecausedbyusewithnonStandard
Communicationsproducts;
(c)repairsperformedotherthanbyourauthorised
representative;
(d)defectsordamageresultingfrommisuse,accident,
impactorneglect;
(e)goodsimproperlyinstalledorusedinamannercontrary
totherelevantinstructionmanual;or
(f) goodswheretheserialnumberhasbeenremovedor
madeillegal.
4. Warranty period
4.1 WeprovidethefollowingwarrantyonGMEandKingray
products.Norepairorreplacementduringthewarranty
periodwillreneworextendthewarrantyperiodpastthe
periodfromoriginaldateofpurchase.
