agencyforaShip-Radiotelephonelicense.Thislicense
includesthecallsignwhichisyourcraft’sidenticationfor
radiopurposes.
Operators License
ArestrictedRadiotelephoneOperatorPermitisthelicense
mostoftenheldbysmallvesselradiooperatorswhena
radioisnotrequiredforsafetypurposes.
TherestrictedRadiotelephoneOperatorPermitmustbe
postedneartheradioorbekeptwiththeoperator.Onlya
licensedradiooperatormayoperatearadio.
However,non-licensedindividualsmaytalkoveraradioifa
licensedoperatorstarts,supervises,endsthecallandmakes
thenecessarylogentries.
Acurrentcopyoftheapplicablegovernmentrulesand
regulationsisonlyrequiredtobeonhandforvesselsin
whicharadiotelephoneiscompulsory.However,even
ifyouarenotrequiredtohavetheseonhanditisyour
