Installing the universal crossbar Making the electrical connections

□ Connect the black wire of the power supply to the black
wire of the xture and connect the white wire of the
power supply to the white wire of the xture.
□
Connect the xture wires as follows:
□
Attach the xture body (A) to the universal crossbar (EE)
and secure it with the supplied canopy screws (DD).
□ Wrap the ground wire from the xture around the ground
screw (CC) on the universal crossbar (EE), and then
connect the ground wire from the xture to the ground
wire from the junction box.

□ Remove the universal crossbar (EE) from the xture
body (A).
WARNING: Turn off power at the main fuse box.
□ Drill a 1/4 in. hole at the two marks, then insert the
anchors (HH).
□
□ Align the keyholes in the universal crossbar (EE) with the
anchors (HH) and insert the tapping screws (GG).
□ Using the universal crossbar (EE) as a guide, mark on the
wall with the junction box (not included) the locations for
the anchors (HH) with a pencil (not included).
NOTE: Always use the wire nuts (AA) to connect the wires
and push all the excess wires and connections back into the
junction box (not included).

at the top of the universal

at the bottom of the universal
crossbar (EE).

crossbar (EE).

Secure the universal crossbar (EE) to the junction box with
the junction box screws (BB) using installation method (1)
or (2) illustrated below.
