380,000kmawayfromtheEarth.Asabeginner,youneedhalftoonehour,inordertoaimper-
fectlyatthemoon.Thefirsttimethatyouseethemooninyourtelescope,itwillbesobeautiful,
thatitwilltakeyourbreathawayandyouwillneverforgetit.

MERCURY
Mercuryisclosesttothesun.Suitablemagnification:100x.
JUPITER
The use of a magnification of 40 x allows the observation of the known moon, “Galileo“.
The observation of the light and dark stripe on Jupiter requires careful attention and clear
atmosphere.Suitablemagnification:80x–100x.
SATURN
TheringsofSaturn,whichareauniquesightinallskies,canbeobservedwitha60timesmagni-
fication.Theobservationoftheellipticalstructureandbandsoftheplanetitselfrequirestheuse
ofatleast100timesmagnification.Occasionally,theringscannotbeseen,duetotheirangle.
VENUS
Venus,whichissobright,thatitiscalledthemorningstaroreveningstar,iscompletelycovered
byadenseatmosphere.Asnobeltcanbeseen,theobservationshouldcentreontheoutlining
ofthewaxingandwaningoftheplanet,similartothemoon.Suitablemagnification:40x.
